Give Yourself a Break
Have you given your mind a break lately?
I am talking about your conscious mind, the one that is always telling you what you haven't done and what you should be doing.
This is the time of year when everyone seems to be deviating from their daily routine and setting their minds to "after the holiday." Let's face it, it's a relief to have a reason to postpone things that need to be done, much like using a rainy day to put off going out and doing your errands. We need to give ourselves a change from the routine, especially if we are prone to doing the same old same old in our lives.
However, for those who live life as if they're always on break (and you know who you are) this is a good time to set your mind to take care of what needs to be done before the holidays are over. You can then begin the new year with "your house in order" and create a great jumping off point into 2006.
Consider STARTING your resolutions during the month of December. What a concept!
While everyone else is in the mindset of letting their diets go, skipping out on the gym and avoiding business opportunities until January, use this time to gear up your life and get on track.
Here are some ideas to get you started. They won’t all apply to your situation, but just beginning wherever you are, will give you a feeling of accomplishment, and will give you a break from beating up on yourself for not doing them.
Make those phone calls you need to return, even those you don't want to.
- Put all the numbers you have on scraps of paper into your palm or phone book.
- Buy the palm you’ve wanted or learn to use the one you have.
- Create new files for next year now so you'll start the year organized.
- Paint the room that looks so bad it depresses you.
- Make the doctor and dentist appointments you’ve put off
- Clean out the stuff taking up room in your drawers.
- Give the photographs lying around a home.
- Toss or give away the CD's you never listen to.
Why not use this time between Thanksgiving and New Years, to take care of some of the things you've let go in 2005. Then you can reward your mind by signing up for a class or conference you want to attend, and take time to read a book or see a movie simply for the pleasure of it.
Here's wishing you a wonderful and fulfilling holiday season!

"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so that they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you really want."
~Margaret Young

"I want you to know that I really got a lot out of our last session. I’m fascinated with the wonderful changes I feel as a result of the hypnotherapy. I wish I had met you years ago before I gave up on myself. Having the courage to leave my old job has done wonders for me I'm feeling more positive about myself and my future than ever before. All the doubts and frustration seem to be under control now and I really believe there is hope for me! Thank you for your patience and looking forward to continuing the expansion."

As a hypnotherapist I help my clients become aware of their inner voice. No matter what problem or difficulty they are struggling with, at the root of it is the way that person sees or feels themselves from the inside.
The benefits of hypnotherapy are far reaching and can have a great impact on your life. The subconscious mind creates the “subtext,” the emotion behind your thoughts, and it literally creates your life script.
The clients who come to me are aware that their inner thoughts create their outward behavior, and they deeply desire to change. When they are introduced to their inner guidance through hypnotherapy, they begin to realize their true gifts and talents.
The more you know who you truly are, the better the choices you will make in your life.
No one knows the truth of your life better than you do!
