"Hanging Out in the Let Go"
I have loved the phase “Hanging out in the Let Go” ever since I first heard it spoken by Reverend Michael Beckwith in a class I was taking on Spiritual Principles. I use these words many times with my clients when they become impatient for evidence of their progress and want to dig the seed of change out of the ground before it has had a chance to germinate. I have had to remind myself of this same lesson many times.
It is an illusion that nothing is going on when we feel stuck or stagnant. We are always on our way to something else, always. The subconscious never sleeps and is tirelessly working behind the scenes of our lives, setting up the next experience, the next challenge.
This lesson was brought home to me this summer when my husband and I spent 10 days living in a farmhouse in the French countryside. It was very different than our life here; no TV, no computer, no phone and no appointments. Life was very simple and there was nothing we had to do. The result of those 10 days showed itself clearly when I returned and found myself reassessing what exactly I wanted my life to feel like, as opposed to look like. In France my thoughts were allowed to marinate, new ideas brewed quietly below the conscious level. They needed nothing more than some room to grow. This newsletter is one of the results of that time.
I would like you to picture yourself standing in a deep valley. The mountains behind you represent where you’ve been and are impressive (yes, you accomplished that!) but in comparison, the valley is a bit unexciting and flat. When you look at the mountains that lie ahead, their challenge calls to you, and causes the uneasy feeling that you should be climbing them already. But if you don’t give yourself time to hang out and refresh yourself in the valley, where are you going to get the energy, strength and wisdom of experience to begin the next climb?
By allowing yourself to “hang out in the let go” and not judge it as unproductive time, you will be able to create space to grow greater dreams and bigger ideas in your life. Enjoy this time, for you will be climbing the next mountain soon enough.

The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to us, they find their own order…the continuous thread of revelation.

I have always experienced test anxiety expecially when faced with standardized tests (eg., SAT, CBEST, GMAT). In fact I took the written test for clinical social work three times because the first two times I failed. Both times, I left with cramps and needed to spend some quality in the restroom. A colleague suggested hypnotherapy to reduce the anxiety. I was very skeptical and spent three months being gently persuaded to try it out. What an experience! Virginia was very calming and supportive, guiding me into a relaxed state. She stroked my subconcious, building my confidence and reduced my anxiety. I learned valuable tools to gain focus and control as well as effectively optimizing my study time. I successfully passed the LCSW written exam with lots of time to spare and without digestive complications. I continue to use many of the tools to get centered or focused when facing a difficult situations. I enthusiatically recommend hypnotherapy, particularly with Virginia Feingold Clark, to anyone preparing for licensing exams. I only wished I had invested the money before paying for multiple test fees and numerous study materials.

Before seeing Virginia, I felt parts of my life and my business were at a stand still and I didn't know why I couldn't move forward in spite of working hard at bettering my life. When I thought about this, I realized it could be something on a very subconscious level that was holding me back. So, I decided to see Virginia.
When I have my sessions with her, she helps me feel completely at ease and I am able to open up with her caring, and non-judgmental attitude. After some sessions with her, I had a series of dreams, which told me I had resolved fears, guilt and resentment I had since childhood that I was not even aware of. No wonder I was feeling so "stuck". Now, my life and my business are moving forward and I believe it's because I am free from the old emotions that kept me from growing.

As a hypnotherapist I help my clients become aware of their inner voice. No matter what problem or difficulty they are struggling with, at the root of it is the way that person sees or feels themselves from the inside.
The benefits of hypnotherapy are far reaching and can have a great impact on your life. The subconscious mind creates the “subtext,” the emotion behind your thoughts, and it literally creates your life script.
The clients who come to me are aware that their inner thoughts create their outward behavior, and they deeply desire to change. When they are introduced to their inner guidance through hypnotherapy, they begin to realize their true gifts and talents.
The more you know who you truly are, the better the choices you will make in your life.
No one knows the truth of your life better than you do!
