Tsunami Thoughts
I don't know about you, but this past New Year's celebration was the most difficult I can remember. The tsunami played a huge part in this. I couldn't erase the image of the ocean filled with everyday ordinary objects destroying and wiping away all in it's path. The loss was hard for me to fathom. It was difficult to reconcile the end of so many lives in such an amazingly short period of time.
The experience of death, whether personal or at a distance, usually brings with it strong emotion. It can bring on thoughts we rather not entertain and usually keep under wraps. But life throws off the covers saying “look at this, this awaits us all.”
My older sister Cynthia passed away when she was 50 years old from an asthma attack. At her memorial service her friends built an alter of memories about her life. Her teenage stepson Jim, read a poem to her memory that deeply touched me. Four years later, he died in an airplane crash; and the same poem was read at his funeral.
This poem has given me much comfort around death, whether personal or afar. Perhaps it will do the same for you.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you wake in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live."
~Norman Cousins

"I have had a skin condition for many years that more recently was causing self loathing, embarrasment, even disgust. I have a wonderful man in my life and he was treating me to a trip to Jamaica. I was dreading the trip since I knew I would have to wear clothing (or the lack thereof) that would reveal my skin condition.
Within 4 hypnotherapy sessions with Virginia, I was able to break through the negative thoughts about myself and my skin. For the first time I was able to hold a vision of my skin being healthy and CLEAR, an important step in the healing of it. I wasn't able to do this before these sessions. As a result, I went to Jamaica with a suitcase filled with sundresses, shorts and a bathing suit! I shocked my boyfriend. We had so much fun and it felt really great to be "comfortable in my own skin".
I recommend Virginia to anyone who wants to have a shift in any area of life where having that shift could make all the difference in the world. The ripple effects of even a small shift can be tremendous. As I think about it now I wonder if my own ability to see beyond the surface had something to do with the marriage proposal from my boyfriend a few months after that trip and a beautiful wedding we celebrated this past September. One never knows just how far a little change can go."

As a hypnotherapist I help my clients become aware of their inner voice. No matter what problem or difficulty they are struggling with, at the root of it is the way that person sees or feels themselves from the inside.
The benefits of hypnotherapy are far reaching and can have a great impact on your life. The subconscious mind creates the “subtext,” the emotion behind your thoughts, and it literally creates your life script.
The clients who come to me are aware that their inner thoughts create their outward behavior, and they deeply desire to change. When they are introduced to their inner guidance through hypnotherapy, they begin to realize their true gifts and talents.
The more you know who you truly are, the better the choices you will make in your life.
No one knows the truth of your life better than you do!
